Abstract: Groovy is a new open source scripting language. Groovy
offers a "best of" feature set from languages like Smalltalk,
Ruby, Phyton and many others, while staying close to the Java
syntax to make switching for Java developers easier. Another
groovy feature is its tight integration with the Java plattform,
making groovy not only platform independent, not only enables
it to use the complete Java2 platform but also makes it suitable
for tasks like unit testing Java classes. This section gives
an introduction to groovy's main features.
